He loves studying about the past; because without knowing the past, you do not have a future. He finds interest in the lives and minds of Aristotle, Plato, Augustus Caesar, King Sejong the Great, Marcus Aurelius, and Catherine the Great.
Making society great as a whole lies not only in the beauty of buildings, parks, gardens, or anything you can see in the city, but the hearts and souls of the individual. By learning to build ourselves and others up, we can establish harmony and respect between our fellow human beings.
Born and raised in San Diego, Juan Montanez seeks to improve the quality of living for the people living in this city, no matter their roots or where they are from for that matter. What matters is that the people here enjoy life and have a good time with their loved ones.
In addition to San Diego, Juan spent a few years of his childhood in the suburbs of Chicago, and his late-teen and early adult years living in Yokosuka, Japan as a military dependent child from 2013-2018.
Juan speaks 7 languages: English, Spanish, Tagalog, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Russian. He is currently learning French and Vietnamese.
